The Baytown Municipal Police Association was incorporated on October 31st, 1968, by Officers Glenn Rosier, B.R. Welch, M.T. Reeves, P.J. Kuehn Jr., M.J. Gill, J.C. Deel, and C.W. Cowan.
As stated in our constitution, the Baytown Municipal Police Association was formed "exclusively for perpetuating the memory and spirit of police officers, who have given their lives in the pursuit of duty, to promoting social fellowship and economic well-being, of instilling in the members the spirit of cooperation and of the high regard of our city, especially with the purpose of inculcating respect for law and order, to cooperate with courts and judges thereof and with the branches of our government, both state and national, of incorporating among the members a closer personal acquaintance, and for the gathering, receiving and dissemination of such information as may be helpful to our members in the pursuit of our duties and for complete cooperation and unified action with the various police organizations of this state, to defray legal and other expenses as may be incurred in perpetuating the interest of this Association, and create a good working relationship with the citizens of this community."
Our association has continued this proud tradition for over 48 years through numerous acts of fellowship, fundraising, and standing up for officers rights within the department.
